About Carlos de Maria y Campos

Carlos de Maria y Campos specialises in the areas of energy (power and oil and gas) and infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on project finance. Clients benefit from his longstanding experience gained in complex operations, deep knowledge and specialist abilities, allowing him to offer unique advisory service and delivering thorough and efficient solutions to every project. Carlos frequently advises and represents contractors, developers, credit institutions, multilateral agencies and, occasionally, has even provided advice to the state-owned companies PEMEX and CFE. He teaches Energy Law and Project Finance at several leading Mexican universities. He also currently serves as vice-president of the Academia Mexicana de Derecho Energético (AMDE) and is vice-chairman of the Energy Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
