About Júlia Batistella Machado

Júlia Batistella Machado is a special counsel for the Energy Practice in Brazil. She assists national and international clients in understanding the regulations involved in doing business in the Brazilian electricity sector and in negotiating agreements, in the context of M&A transactions, privatisations, project structuring and development, project financing, regulated auctions, joint ventures, and new business models. Júlia holds a bachelor’s degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE).
