About Matt Alshouse

Matt Alshouse is a partner in DLA’s real estate practice group, in its Chicago office. His practice focuses on commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions and financing, primarily on behalf of private equity and real estate asset management clients globally. He has counselled domestic and foreign private equity fund and hedge funds, investor consortia, developers, asset-based and project lenders, and REITs on a broad range of property acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and mortgage and mezzanine loans. Matt’s experience in recent years has included the representation of a variety of Korean asset management and other investor consortia in their US real estate transactions. This has included hard asset acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures, as well as borrower representation on mortgage and mezzanine loans; the acquisition of both mortgage and mezzanine debt from institutional bank sponsors; and the issuance and origination of mortgage and mezzanine loans secured by US properties.
