About Melanie Jones

Melanie Jones is managing partner of Lex Caribbean and leads its international business and entrepreneurial business departments. Melanie has 30 years’ experience, having practised in London and the Cayman Islands before returning to Barbados. Melanie continually advises key public-private sector working groups in Barbados, contributing to the formulation of legislation around immigration, securities, employment rights, corporate and governance services regulation, and transformative changes to Barbados’ business regime. She is a long-standing director, past president, and business facilitation committee member of the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA). She also serves as long-standing pro bono counsel and board member of the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation (BEF).
