Rajeev Vidhani
is a partner in the firm's banking and finance and restructuring and insolvency practice groups. He regularly advises leading banks, financial institutions, AIFs, mutual funds and other investors on a variety of financing transactions and syndicated lending arrangements as well as on inter-creditor and subordination issues. He also advises on debt issuances, cross-border transactions, securitisation, debt buy-outs and voluntary restructurings under various schemes introduced by the Reserve Bank of India. Some of his recent representations include advising Vedanta Limited on its successful resolution plan for Electrosteel Steels Limited, assisting TCG Group with a successful resolution plan for Garden Silk Mills Limited, advising Essar Power MP and various creditors of IL&FS on their insolvency processes, advising SBI consortium on financing the acquisition of Ruchi Soya by Patanjali Consortium, and placing a large special situation fund on investment into an AIF platform set up for the acquisition of IIFL’s loan portfolios.
