About Clare Swirski

Clare Swirski is an international consultant at Debevoise who focuses on advising insurers and other financial institutions on a range of transactional and regulatory matters. She has over 20 years’ experience advising on M&A transactions, reinsurance and corporate issues, as well as advising multinational (re)insurers on key regulatory developments impacting the sector. Clare has played an active role in the development of the regulatory environment for (re)insurers in the UK, liaising with HM Treasury on changes to Part VII legislation, responding to European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority Solvency II consultations, and considering issues arising from Brexit as part of the Financial Markets Law Committee.
