About Thierry Calame

Thierry Calame is the managing partner at Lenz & Staehelin in Zurich. His areas of practice are IP, with a strong focus on patent litigation and patent-related arbitration; licensing; unfair competition; and life sciences. Thierry's professional associations/memberships include president of the European Patent Lawyers Association (EPLAW), 2018–20; member of the EPLAW Advisory Board; reporter general, International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), 2010–14; co-chair of AIPPI's UPC/UP Standing Committee; board member of the Swiss Group of AIPPI; and member of the Board of Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency. He is a permanent lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute for IP and has published on a wide range of IP topics.
