About Helena Correia Mendonça

Helena Correia Mendonça joined VdA in 2007 and is the principal consultant in the information, communication and technology practice. She has extensive experience in fintech matters, advising on mobile payments, payment services and e-money, and has been involved in setting up payment providers and in the analysis of legal issues relating to virtual currency. Helena also has extensive experience in the aviation, space and defence sector, in the ICT field, and in matters relating to software licensing and support, outsourcing, the protection of intellectual property, know-how and trade secrets, cloud computing and video games. She further advises on matters relating to copyright and neighbouring rights in several sectors, and on matters relating to the implementation of e-commerce platforms and websites. Helena also works on mobility, especially autonomous and driverless vehicles and urban air mobility, and has additional experience in animal law.
