About Vera Patrícia Querido

Vera Patrícia Querido is the managing partner of VPQ Advogados in Cabo Verde and advises the Morais Leitão Legal Circle on matters relating to Cabo Verde. She practised law from 1996 to 2002, focusing on criminal law, civil law, labour law and administrative law. Vera was then a senior technician at the General Labour Inspection, namely, as the instructor on misdemeanour procedures, as well as at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, intervening in the transposition of community directives in the area of safety and health at work and in the drafting of other legislation related to the same matter. She was also a labour inspector at the Authority for Working Conditions. Vera was deputy ombudsman of the Republic of Cabo Verde until September 2020.
