Tom Brett
is a partner in the employment team Gilbert + Tobin, whose practice focuses on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Tom advises clients across the full scope of employment law and industrial relations, bringing a pragmatic approach that balances legal, commercial and people-based issues in the workplace. He is regularly involved in termination of employment disputes, post-employment restraint matters and complex transactions. Tom has a broad client base including large public listed organisations, private equity clients, and fintechs and financial services firms. He has involvement with government authorities and public and private sector clients in litigation in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia and the Fair Work Commission (including but not limited to appellate jurisdictions, general protections, unfair dismissal and discrimination-based claims).
