About Takafumi Ochiai

Takafumi Ochiai is a partner at Atsumi & Sakai and has 16 years’ experience in acting for a wide range of Japanese and international clients in the financial and information technology sectors, including on related dispute resolution and regulatory matters. He is a core member of the firm’s innovation practice group, and a director general of the Fintech Association of Japan; he is also a member of the Digital Agency's Working Group for Ad-hoc Digital Administrative Investigation. Takafumi was appointed as a member of the Ministry of the Economy Trade and Industry’s “Committee to Discuss a Legal System for Blockchain”, and is a member of the "Meeting on Blockchain Promotion by Public and Private Sectors" and “Meeting on Blockchain Promotion by Public and Private Sectors” jointly held by the Japan Association of New Economy and the National Strategy Office of Information and Communication Technology, Cabinet Secretariat.
