About Hangil Lee

Hangil Lee is a partner in the international arbitration and litigation practice group at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (BKL), where she mainly represents domestic and foreign clients, as well as governments. She has successfully represented various domestic and foreign clients both in South Korean courts and in cross-border litigations since joining BKL in 2013. Hangil also has extensive experience acting as counsel at all stages of international arbitrations under the major arbitration rules, including the ICC, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. She has also represented clients, including the South Korean government, in investor–state disputes. Hangil has advised and acted as counsel in arbitral procedure, interim measures prior to commencing arbitration, enforcement procedures following the arbitral award, set-aside application, and litigations in foreign courts.
