About Shailaja Lall

Shailaja Lall is an equity partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and heads its insurance and reinsurance practice, which she established in 2007. She has worked in the insurance sector for over 22 years, advising insurers, reinsurers, insurance intermediaries and financial services entities on transactional and regulatory matters, including share and business acquisitions, joint ventures, distribution agreements, bancassurance arrangements and group reorganisations. She was the vice-chair of the Lex Mundi insurance and reinsurance practice group (2012–16), a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s Insurance and Pensions Committee (2014–15), and is a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Committee on Insurance and Pensions (2022–23).
