About Nelson Zhou

Nelson Zhou is a senior partner at the Shanghai office of JunHe LLP. He has extensive experience in banking and finance, private equity investments and M&A of listed companies. Nelson has actively represented a number of international financial institutions and private equity houses in structuring, negotiation and documentation of complex acquisition finance and structured finance transactions. In recent years, he has acted for banks and financial sponsors on many going-private transactions of US-listed Chinese companies. The representative transactions advised by Nelson include taking-private financing for 58.com (2021 Finance Deal of the Year by Asia Legal Business), taking-private financing for Sina.com, acquisition finance for Hillhouse’s strategic investment in Gree Electronic and acquisition finance for Blackstone’s acquisition of Guangzhou R&F Logistic Park. Nelson is a member of the PRC Bar Association.
