About Tayeb Hassabo

Tayeb Hassabo was one of the co-founders of AZTAN Law Firm and is specialised in business law, cross-border investments, finance, telecommunications and corporate matters. He has led the team at AZTAN on many important matters, such as the handling of four major financing transactions for a major telecoms operator in Sudan and South Sudan; representing Japan Tobacco International in its landmark acquisition of HCTF in Sudan (USD450 million); representing Etisalat (PJSC) of the UAE in disposing of its shares in Canar Telecom in Sudan (USD93 million); representing Standard Bank Asia Hong Kong in financing a project for Sudatel; and handling the legal work and due diligence concerning infrastructure transactions, industrial projects, power projects, international procurement agreements, telecommunication projects, Islamic and conventional finance, distribution and agency agreements, A&M, and giant agricultural projects.
