About Dan Davis

Dan Davis is a partner in the financial markets and funds practice at Katten, where he assists clients with regulatory and litigation issues in the financial services sector, particularly derivatives products and crypto assets. From 2017 to 2021, Dan served as general counsel of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). While there, Dan received the Chairman’s Award for Excellence in 2019. This award is the CFTC’s highest honor, given to one employee annually in recognition of extraordinary accomplishments and superior service dedicated to realising the vision, mission and values of the CFTC.
