About Vaibhav Choukse

Vaibhav Choukse is a partner and heads the competition law practice at JSA. He focuses on complex enforcement (cartel, leniency, dawn raid and abuse cases) and merger control cases and represents and advises clients on a broad range of competition law issues spanning several sectors.  On the cartel enforcement front, recently, he has successfully defended several Japanese auto-component manufacturers, a global multiplex operator and a paper manufacturer in an alleged price-fixing cartel. Presently, he is advising a global seed company and three leading debenture trustees in price-fixing cartel cases before the CCI. He has been recognised as one of India’s leading competition lawyers and has authored numerous articles in competition law journals and leading newspapers. He is a frequent speaker on all antitrust issues in various fora.
