About Turgut Aycan Özcan

Turgut Aycan Özcan is head of the international arbitration practice at Lexist. He has acted as counsel on several ICSID arbitration cases and many commercial arbitration cases before arbitration institutions such as the ICC, SCAI and LCIA over the past ten years. Aycan is known for his proficiency in international investment and commercial arbitration in particular, with a high degree of competence and understanding of public international law and energy law. He has represented prominent Turkish investors and is currently leading the arbitration team representing the Republic of Turkey in multiple ICSID cases. Aycan has also served as an arbitrator in several international arbitration proceedings. He is educated in both Turkey and the UK.
