About João Carlos Assunção

João Carlos Assunção is an associate at VdA. He obtained his law degree from the University of Porto and has an advanced postgraduate qualification in corporate law. João is awaiting his thesis' public defence in the master’s degree in law and juridical science from the University of Lisbon Faculty of Law. In 2016, after an internship in the knowledge management department, João joined the intellectual property practice, where he has been providing legal and strategic advice in industrial property law (trade marks, designs, patents), particularly in the context of administrative, civil and arbitral litigation in relation to pharmaceutical patents.
