About Ana Falcão Afonso

Ana Falcão Afonso is a principal consultant at VdA. She obtained her law degree from the Catholic University, and her postgraduate qualification in intellectual property from the University of Lisbon. From 1997-2011, Ana worked as associate and managing associate in the litigation practice, where she was involved in several judicial and arbitration procedures, on civil and commercial matters, including enforcement of trade marks and patents. From 2011-18, Ana joined the knowledge management department, as PSL, collaborating with the intellectual property and the litigation and arbitration practices. In 2019, Ana joined the intellectual property area, focusing on IP litigation, notably regarding trade marks and pharmaceutical patents.
