Iván Bertrand-Galindo
is a partner at Bertrand-Galindo Barrueto Barroilhet Abogados in Santiago, Chile, and co-heads the firm’s mining, energy and natural resources department. From 2012 to 2013, he was a visiting lawyer at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, New York. Iván advises a broad range of local and foreign clients on mining, energy and natural resources, corporate, M&A, cross-border transactions, foreign investment and project development. He holds a JD and a Minor in Economic and Commercial Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an LLM from Columbia Law School, New York (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar). He is a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the Chilean–German Chamber of Commerce.
