About Robert Scheffy

Robert Scheffy is a partner in Jones Walker LLP and is often described as a “hybrid” lawyer, drawing on his years of private practice and service as in-house counsel for an interstate gas pipeline company to advise pipeline companies and exploration and production companies on the development, purchase and sale of producing properties. Rob is also a licensed title agent, representing a number of the National Title Insurance Companies. Due to his diverse practice footprint, he is often called on by real estate developers (of residential, commercial, retail and industrial projects), lenders and E&P companies to resolve matters related to insurance coverage involving surface rights issues, among other things.
