About Amy Winters

Amy Winters is a partner at the Jones Walker Litigation Practice Group. Amy advises on health plans and all types of healthcare providers, including physicians, dentists, psychologists, counsellors, nurses, hospitals, hospice providers and long-term care facilities. Amy assists covered entities and business associates in creating comprehensive HIPAA compliance programmes. In this context, she works with clients to assess and develop customised privacy and security practices, as well as related policies and procedures that comply with HIPAA standards. Amy also advises clients throughout the course of HIPAA breach investigations and responses, including breach notification reports to individuals and regulatory authorities.
