Nick Miles is a partner of Kennedys Bermuda and well known for his insolvency and restructuring expertise. He is a committee member of the Restructuring and Insolvency Specialists Association of Bermuda (RISA). Notable recent matters include advising Amedex Insurance Company (Bermuda) Ltd (Amedex), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bupa, on all aspects of its long-term business transfer scheme under Section 25 of the Insurance Act 1978; acting for Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited in connection with its sale by merger to Provident Holdings Ltd; and successfully representing officers of Deloitte & Touche Tohmatsu (Hong Kong) in their application for orders appointing them as joint liquidators of Ping An Securities Group Holdings Ltd.
