Bret Cohen
chairs Nelson Mullins’ labor and employment practice and co-chairs its trade secrets and employee mobility practice. His work primarily entails litigating high-stakes complex trade secret and employment cases; drafting and enforcement of non-compete, confidentiality and other employment-related agreements throughout the United States; representing high-level executives in such matters; advising public company executives on terminations and employment issues; advising clients on a range of matters involving employment agreements, termination of high-level executives, worker classification, deal diligence, hiring oversight, and best practices; negotiating and drafting relevant agreements; and assisting employers seeking to enforce those agreements through litigation. Bret is a former chair of the American Bar Association subcommittee on employment litigation and is a contributing author to the ABA’s Annual Review of Developments in Business and Corporate Litigation.
