Geoffrey Clews
is a leader at the New Zealand Tax Bar, whose practice covers all aspects of tax controversy. He advises taxpayers on domestic and international revenue investigations, and during the sometimes difficult statutory tax disputes process. He litigates civil tax issues, and defends criminal tax charges at trial and appellate levels. Geoffrey has contributed to five international texts, and has acted as national tax reporter to the ABA and IBA. He is a long-standing member of IFA and the New Zealand Law Society Taxation Committee, and is a Teaching Fellow in tax controversy at the University of Auckland Law School.
