About Patrick Swain

Patrick Swain is a senior litigation partner in Freshfields’ London office and is widely recognised as a leading practitioner with experience in a wide range of commercial disputes and investigations, including advising clients on M&A-related and shareholder disputes. His mandates include his successful defence of the parent company of Bank of Georgia against an oligarch attack, successfully representing a subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Corporation in the trial against a Robert Tchenguiz investment company, his successful defence of the Takeda/Fougera litigation, advice on contentious aspects of the AB InBev/SAB Miller takeover and the proposed Three/O2 merger and his extensive court work on the Liverpool Football Club takeover litigation. He has practised in London, New York and Hong Kong.
