About Maciej Durbas

Maciej Durbas is an attorney at law with a PhD and an LLM (Vienna and City University of Hong Kong), and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is co-head of the arbitration practice at KKG and handles complicated disputes, including cross-border proceedings in various sectors, both as a counsel and arbitrator, including as a presiding arbitrator. Maciej has also acted as an assistant to the arbitrator or tribunal’s secretary on many occasions. A long-time teacher and coach of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków’s Vis Moot Team, he defended his doctoral thesis on arbitral jurisdiction at the Department of Civil Law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków with honours. Maciej is the author of numerous publications on arbitration.
