About Edgardo Nieves-Quiles

Edgardo Nieves-Quiles joined O'Neill and Borges in 1998 as an associate, was promoted to income member in 2001 and to capital member in 2007. His practice is concentrated in commercial lending, secured transactions, workouts and general real estate. Edgardo represents both local and US-based banks. He also has experience representing borrowers in workouts, restructurings and discounted payoff transactions. Furthermore, he leads the firm’s legislative and regulatory affairs practice, where he implements his government affairs background and expertise. His practice includes assistance to clients in the drafting of legislation and analysis of pending legislation, with emphasis on real estate matters.
