About Karén Babalyan

Karén Babalyan is head of the practice at AMERIA Legal and Tax Advisors and has extensive experience in corporate, banking and finance, project finance and regulatory issues, mainly concentrating on mining and energy projects. He has vast experience and is highly valued by clients, especially for his work in cross-border transactions in the mining and energy sectors. Karén has served as key adviser for the largest M&A and debt financing projects that have taken place in Armenia during the past 14 years in the sector, focusing mainly on project finance, supervisory assessments of compliance and regulatory consents. He has also served as legal consultant for a World Bank Mine Closure Project. Karén is a member of the Armenian Bar Association and a visiting lecturer at major universities of Armenia.
