About Jón Gunnar Ásbjörnsson

Jón Gunnar Ásbjörnsson graduated from the Law School of the University of Iceland in 2011 and joined Landslög the same year. He was admitted to the Bar as a district court attorney in 2012 and as a Supreme Court attorney in 2018. Jon’s main practice areas include dispute resolution/litigation, intellectual property law, commercial law and contract law. He lectures on tort law at the University of Iceland and has written several articles for law reviews on copyright law and civil procedure/private international law. Jon is currently acting on a class action lawsuit handled by Landslög for the class of former shareholders of the Landsbanki Íslands hf. bank – the largest-ever class action in Iceland.
