About Jan Byrski

Jan Byrski is a partner at TKP who specialises in financial innovation law, legal protection of information and IT, including proceedings before the National Bank of Poland, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), the president of the Personal Data Protection Office, and the courts. He is a legal expert at the Polish Chamber of Insurance and the Foundation for Development of Non-Cash Transactions. Jan is a member of the IAPP and the Data Protection Officer Association, Poland, and is vice-president of the FinTech Committee of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications. He is also a member of working parties at the KNF on the development of fintech. He is the co-author of the commentary to the Polish Act on Payment Services (2021) and a law professor at the Cracow University of Economics.
