About Rodrigo Gil

Rodrigo Gil is co-leader of the international and domestic arbitration practice area at BMAJ. He is a Fulbright Scholar and holds an LLM from UC Berkeley Law (2008). Gil has extensive experience as lead counsel in investor-state and investment treaty disputes under ICSID rules, in representation of both states and investors. He is an expert in material relating to large-scale construction disputes, and regularly advises national and foreign clients in disputes relating to the energy, mining, construction, infrastructure and telecommunications industries, among others. He also defends clients in antitrust disputes, complex civil conflicts and in litigation procedures relating to arbitration. In addition to his practice as a litigator, Gil also regularly acts as an arbitrator, and he is professor of private law at the Universidad de Chile.
