About Theophilus Emuwa

Theophilus Emuwa is a partner at ǼLEX and heads the firm’s Taxation Practice. He is the vice-chair of the International Fiscal Association, Nigeria Branch, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; he is also a member of the Taxes Committee of the International Bar Association. He was the pioneer chair of the taxation committee of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association. He was also a member of the ministerial committees established to review the framework for enabling private equity funds in Nigeria. He regularly advises on Nigerian companies’ income and petroleum profits tax issues and corporate tax restructuring schemes.
