About Rishi Pursem

Rishi Pursem read law at Middlesex University and is a barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, England. He started his career at the Attorney General’s Office and then acted as a magistrate. He acted as assistant solicitor general at the Attorney General’s Office before joining private practice, and was appointed senior counsel in 2010. He heads the litigation practice at Benoit Chambers and is a seasoned advocate who appears regularly before the Supreme Court of Mauritius and the Privy Council. He is also frequently involved in arbitration proceedings relating to complex international transactions.
