About Roy C. Durling

Roy C. Durling is a partner at Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega, which he joined in 1991, after working for four years with a major law firm in New York City. He heads the Mining, Oil and Gas Group. He has represented several mining companies in their operations in Panama, and was actively involved in the negotiations with the government of Panama relating to the original Cobre Panama mining concession (1996–97). He has also been a member of the team of lawyers advising the Panamanian government in its current negotiations with First Quantum Minerals in connection with the new concession for the Cobre Panama project. Roy obtained his JD from Cornell University and his BA from Georgetown University.
