About Márcio Junqueira Leite

Márcio Junqueira Leite is a counsel at Pinheiro Neto Advogados who focuses on intellectual property, technology, media and entertainment law, and commercial litigation. He is a postgraduate in civil procedure, and is a PhD candidate at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. He has a master’s degree in commercial law from the Universidade de São Paulo and has another postgraduate degree in entertainment law from the International Institute of Social Sciences. He is the author of the book "Second Use Patents in Brazil" (Almedina, 2015). He is a member of the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI) and a specialist of its ADR Chamber; a member of the Geographical Indications Committee of INTA; a member the IP Committee of the ICC; an effective member of the IP Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association, Section of São Paulo; and Legal Director of Associação Paulista da Propriedade Intelectual (ASPI). He is also recognised as a leading counsel in the IP area by Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, the World Trademark Review and other publications.
