About Laura Opilio

Laura Opilio is head of the Dispute Resolution department and the insurance practices at CMS in Italy. During her career, Laura has acquired vast experience in national and international commercial litigation, both in civil and arbitral courts, with a specific focus on disputes relating to corporate liability (directors and officers), product liability, professional lines, casualty claims and construction (surety bonds). Laura is regularly appointed by numerous insurance companies in Italy to advise on the management and resolution of disputes, acting as defence counsel of the policyholders upon underwriters’ instructions. Laura is currently co-chair of the International Commerce and Distribution Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA).
