About John H. Cooper

John H. Cooper is a shareholder and former president, whose practice spans corporate, securities and tax law, with an emphasis on M&A, private equity and venture capital, securities, business and succession planning, corporate finance, corporate tax, directors and officers, executive compensation and general counsel services. He is a member of the tax section of the ABA, Alabama State Tax Section, and the Alabama State Bar and was an adjunct faculty member of the University of Alabama School of Law for Advanced Corporate Tax (1982–2008). Cooper’s recent work includes the formation of two private real estate investment funds, the sale of a large healthcare wellness company and two opportunity zone program funds.
