About João Afonso Fialho

João Afonso Fialho joined VdA in 2015. He is a partner and head of practice for Oil&Gas. João has been involved, for the last 20 years, in all oil and gas projects and transactions in various jurisdictions, such as Timor-Leste, Angola, Portugal, Mozambique, Republic of Congo, DRC, Guinea Bissau and São Tomé and Príncipe. He has a comprehensive understanding of all typical projects and transactions of the oil and gas industry, including production sharing agreements, participating agreements, joint operating agreements, operating agreements, field unitisation agreements, the full range of service contracts, floating production storage and offloading contracts, pipeline transportation agreements, and distribution and SPAs.
