About Hugo Palacios Mejía

Hugo Palacios Mejía is the founding partner, and currently a senior counsel, at Palacios Lleras. A lawyer and economist, Dr Palacios holds an MA in Economics from Vanderbilt University. He is a former Governor of the Colombian Central Bank and former Minister of Finance and Public Credit. He is an expert consultant and litigator in constitutional, public administrative, corporate, and financial law. He has represented clients in derivative actions and shareholder disputes dealing with managers’ liability, conflicts of interests, and abuse of rights. Dr Palacios is a member of the International Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association.
