Kevin M Schmidt is a partner in the mergers and acquisitions group and is co-chair of Debevoise & Plimpton's private equity group. He has worked extensively on acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investments, including cross-border transactions for both private equity and corporate clients. He is the co-author of “SPACs Could Become Formidable Bidders in the M&A Market”, New York Law Journal (October, 2020), and “PE Eyes Public Markets, Distressed Sectors for Deal Flow in 2019”, The Wall Street Journal (January, 2019), and he is a contributing author of Debevoise & Plimpton’s Private Equity Report.
