About Brigette Shone

Brigette Shone is a special counsel in Russell McVeagh's commercial litigation team. She regularly represents clients on consumer law, privacy, defamation and intellectual property issues. Brigette has significant experience in breach of confidence claims, including in the intellectual property and privacy/data protection space. She has recently been involved in cases involving cyber-attacks and disclosure of hacked data to media, unauthorised use of valuable intellectual property and trade secrets in industry, and use of inadvertently disclosed confidential information by the media. Prior to joining Russell McVeagh, Brigette worked in dispute resolution for a specialist intellectual property firm. She is a member of IPSANZ.
